An agency, which helps Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) enroll citizens for AadhAar, was over enthusiastic and shared the personal details of ace cricket MS Dhoni on social media.
The agency’s Common Services Center (CSC) had posted a tweet on Tuesday through its twitter handle @CSCegov saying “Ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his family get their Aadhaar updated at VLE Mariya Farooqui’s CSE at Ranchi, Jharkhand”.
Dhoni’s Wife Sakshi Singh expressed her displeasure over the breach. She brought the matter to the notice of Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Twitter. ‘Is there any privacy left? Information of Aadhar Card, including Application, is made public property,’ she complains.
Ravi Shankar Prasad thanked Sakshi for bringing the matter to his notice. He assured serious action will be taken against the agency for sharing personal information. In reply, Dhoni’s Wife thanked the Union Minister for prompt reply.
